Fish and Chips bring residents together

Added 1 year ago.

One of the many things the crew of the StarChip Enterprise are lucky enough to do is visit local residential homes and serve our traditional "chip shop" fayre to the residents.

Our visits always bring a smile to the faces of the residents and more than one has remarked that there is "nothing quite like the smell and taste of properly cooked fish and chips"   This can evoke many happy memories for people, remembering maybe a walk on the pier while holding hands with their loved one, or even just the memory of a family treat shared round a dinner table.

Many residents remember the mobile fish and chips vans of yesteryear and although our state of the art van bears no resemblance visually, the service we provide enables people who are unable to get out to their nearest fish and chip shop an opportunity to enjoy our award winning food and also brings residents together over a shared love of a British tradition.

One care group has found that monthly fish and chip lunches have boosted the spirits of their residents and encouraged other care homes to follow suit. After seeing the reactions of the residents we, at StarChip Enterprise, have to agree.
